• HRH the Princess Royal officially opened New Era Complex on 9th March 2001.
  
  Since then the centre has developed an identity as a provider of services to local people and organisations within Hyndburn.
  
  These include education, advice, services for young people, elderly people, people from different ethnic groups, ability levels, and socio-economic groups.
  
  It is seen as a place where people can meet, feel comfortable and enjoy the opportunities brought by a partnership reflecting public and voluntary sector bodies.
